Welcome

Welcome to Keller Williams North Raleigh’s 3rd Annual RED Day page!

RED Day/Week 2011 began May 9th and ended on May 13th. We would like to thank our sponsors and all of our RED Day Volunteers for their time and passion.

Last year we participated in three activities to service our local community. First we took all of the delivery routes of our local Meals on Wheels for the day, an activity that inspired our agents to permanently adopt a weekly route. We also landscaped the local Easter Seals UCP building by mulching and planting flowers. Our biggest impact was at the Aversboro Assisted Living facility where we did many projects. We played games, gave manicures, played bingo and got to know the residents of the facility. We removed all of the pine straw touching the facility, pruned bushes and removed debris – a total of over one hundred bags of trash and clippings as well as a pretty big pile of trimmings and brush. We planted flowers and made two benches that the residents weren’t able to use, usable again and made everyone’s day.

This year we took all 18 of the local Meal on Wheels routes, created a cookbook to raise funds for people in need and improved a local facility in need of extra love at the Governor Morehead School for the Blind by gardening, mulching, cleaning and doing everything we could to enhance their already beautiful campus. We also had a clothing drive for local families and for the local women’s shelter, InterAct (Project: Christmas in May). All in all it was a busy week, but we impacted many people’s lives including our own. Thank you to everyone who made RED Week a success!
